To ensure optimum Hydrant performance, we recommend an inspection in the Fall and the Spring.

NFPA 25 requires one hydrant inspection per year, and a Fall Inspection ensures that they have been pumped out properly so they won’t freeze. However, hydrants can be difficult to spot in Winter which puts them at risk of damage from plows and vehicles. That’s why we recommend an additional inspection in the Spring as a best practice.
