The successful candidate will install, verify, inspect, service and modify sprinkler fire protection systems, ensuring compliance to codes and standards and in accordance with customer’s contract. (Wet/Dry Sprinkler Systems, CO2, Water Mist, Wet and Dry Chemical).

    Job Tasks

    • Service – Wet, dry, pre-action systems, small renovations that require modifications. Trouble shoot systems that are not in proper operation. Make applicable repairs
    • Contracts – Install new systems in both retro and new builds. Coordinate with onsite trades, track and order material, follow track and report on safety procedures
    • Inspection – Inspect, test all applicable systems (fire pumps, hydrants, different alarm valves and devices
    • Maintain knowledge of codes and standards

    Qualifications

    • Certification as a Fire Protection Technician (specifically, Sprinkler/Standpipe System)
    • Red Seal Journeyperson Sprinkler Fitter preferred

    • Source sprinkler projects and gather all relevant information as required
    • Ensure designs are in accordance with applicable codes and standards
