Quotation Specialist - Marine/Suppression

Our Owen Sound, ON branch is looking for a Quotation Specialist to join their team!
In this role, the successful candidate will provide direct support for internal branch service sales management and pricing of marine and special hazard suppression equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support for internal branch service sales management and pricing of marine and special hazard suppression equipment.
- Act as a technical liaison to support branches with access to special hazard materials, pricing, OEM training and the design of pre-engineered suppression systems.
- Act as inside sales representative for third party product sales and distribution.
- Management of OEM distributorship agreements related to product access and availability.
- Oversee OEM distributor portals for access to current parts, equipment pricing and employee training records.
- Perform basic design and estimating procedures, including bill of materials for pre-engineered fire suppression systems.
- Assist in continuing and maintaining company best practices in coordination with national fire suppression design team, service division and marine group.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Fire Protection Engineering & Technology or equivalent.
- Familiarity with standard OEM distributor agreements, portal access and functionality.
- Working knowledge of pre-engineered fire suppression systems for kitchen hood and industrial protection.
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience related to fire protection sales, design or purchasing with a focus on special hazard fire suppression systems including, but not limited to clean agent/inert gas, CO2, water mist, foam, and wet/dry chemical systems.
- Technical understanding of fire suppression system components - OEM certification or the ability to obtain certification for the design of special hazard suppression systems in an asset.
- Working expertise of AutoCAD, hydraulic calculations and special hazard design software.
- Working knowledge of basic fire alarm and suppression releasing systems.
