Marine and Special Suppression Manager - Western Canada

We are hiring for a Marine and Special Suppression Manager serving Western Canada from our Victoria, BC branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for sales, technical support, specialized training and coordination of marine / special hazard service jobs and personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the sales of marine and special hazard fire systems service including testing, inspections, deficiencies, maintenance, and installations.
- Act as the primary customer service liaison with local clients, authorities and class societies.
- Technical resource for service technicians including training and assistance with coordination.
- Perform basic design and estimating procedures for marine based fire suppression and fire detection systems.
- Oversee day to day operations of marine or special hazards field work and projects.
- Review and issue of systems reports.
- Assist in continuing and maintaining company best practices in coordination with national fire suppression design team, quality management, service division and marine group.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Fire Protection Engineering & Technology or equivalent.
- Familiarity with standard OEM distributor agreements, portal access and functionality.
- Working knowledge of marine fire suppression and detection systems.
- High level communication skills for interaction with multiple offices, technicians, clients and authorities.
- Minimum of 2 – 5 years experience related to fire protection sales, design or purchasing with a focus on special hazard fire suppression systems including, but not limited to clean agent/inert gas, CO2, water mist, foam, and wet/dry chemical systems.
- Technical understanding of fire suppression system components - OEM certification or the ability to obtain certification for the design of special hazard suppression and detection systems is an asset.
- Understanding of technician scheduling and system report review.
- Expertise with regard to compressed gas cylinders and their functional maintenance.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000 annually
