    Our Windsor, ON team is currently looking for a Fire Extinguisher Technician to join their branch! In this role, the successful candidate will be maintaining fire extinguishers and providing support in other fire safety related services as required.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide on-site annual and preventive services to national customers.
    • Assist in emergency lighting and fire safety inspections
    • Inspect, repair, test, dismantle, and clean Fire Extinguishers (per NFPA standards) using hand tools, hydrostatic test equipment and monitoring devices
    • Hydro-test high pressure cylinders.
    • Service various different fire extinguishers (e.g. ABC, BC and CO2)

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Responsibilities:

    • Receive, enter and process orders for Fire System Projects from Troy’s National branches with minimum delay

    Nature & Scope

    • Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
    • Assist in developing/documenting processes and procedures within the AP team
    • Assist in the testing of the ERP system functionality and documentation of the results/procedures
    • Monthly journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting

    Our Montreal, QC team is looking for an enthusiastic entry level candidate who is looking to develop themselves further in the fire and life safety industry! The Junior Fire Alarm Technician position is to provide a training environment for the development of technicians as they work toward attaining their full CFAA certification.

    Nature & Scope

    • Take direction from the on-site Fire Alarm Service Representative, supervisors, coordinators, and/or support staff as defined by company policies
    • Perform duties of maintenance and inspections on fire alarm, fire extinguisher and emergency lighting systems where qualified to do so.

    Employees who are electricians may perform work that would normally be subcontracted to an electrician provided they are not expected to do work for which they cannot obtain a permit

     QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

    • High School Diploma
    • CFAA and/or ASTT EX, EL and FA tickets (where the AHJ requires ASTT certification
    • Two (2) year community college graduate in electronics, and/or equivalent work experience
    • Good communication skills
    • Good computer skills 

    Hourly Rate: $36 - $38/hour
