    We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our IT team! Our current team is based out of our Owen Sound, ON, branch, however we are open to the possibility of remote work in Canada, preferably southern Ontario. The ideal candidate will be someone with experience in creating and deploying Information Security policies and procedures. The IT Support Technician provides help and advice to users using computer software or equipment. This role supports the corporate IT environment as the first line of support for all users who have computer issues and questions. This position performs activities to make sure the help desk is performing at maximum efficiency and provides the best client service and value.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Resolve help desk tickets as assigned
    • Troubleshoot issues on all user’s devices (laptop, desktop, mobile, printer, etc.)

    We are looking for an IT Database Developer to join our IT team! Our current IT team is based out of our Owen Sound, ON, branch, however we are open to the possibility of remote work in Canada, preferably southern Ontario.     Nature & Scope

    • The IT Database Developer reports to the IT Manager
    • Support existing applications and customizations
    • Develop and deploy customizations to existing applications
    • Ensure proper documentation is written and current and code quality, accuracy and correct business solutions have been developed
    • Continuous improvement of personal knowledge regarding programming technology
    • Develops test and audit methods in order to ensure program meets system requirements

    • Writing and improving SQL Server T-SQL queries for at least a year.
    • Designing tables and picking datatypes
    • Using Profiler traces and other tools to find the most frequently run queries
    • Using free tools like sp_BlitzIndex® and DMV queries to answer questions about index usage
    • Tuning T-SQL queries to improve performance

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years post-secondary in a computer related field

    Our London, ON branch is currently looking for an experienced Red Seal Journeyperson/Sprinkler Fitter to join their team! The successful candidate will install, verify, inspect, service and modify sprinkler fire protection systems, ensuring compliance to codes and standards and in accordance with customer’s contract. (Wet/Dry Sprinkler Systems, CO2, Water Mist, Wet and Dry Chemical).

    Job Tasks

    • Service – Wet, dry, pre-action systems, small renovations that require modifications. Trouble shoot systems that are not in proper operation. Make applicable repairs
    • Contracts – Install new systems in both retro and new builds. Coordinate with onsite trades, track and order material, follow track and report on safety procedures
    • Inspection – Inspect, test all applicable systems (fire pumps, hydrants, different alarm valves and devices
    • Maintain knowledge of codes and standards

    Qualifications

    • Certification as a Fire Protection Technician (specifically, Sprinkler/Standpoint System)
    • Red Seal Journeyperson Sprinkler Fitter preferred

  • Grimsby | Technical & Services |

    We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our Marine Division. Our Marine Service Technicians are responsible for installing, verifying, inspecting, servicing, and modifying fixed fire protection systems while ensuring compliance to codes and standards in accordance with customer’s contract.

    Responsibilities:

    • Complete annual fire alarm inspections, repairs, verifications and installations
    • Perform inspections of portable equipment including fire extinguishers, SCBA equipment and other life safety items as per local codes and standards
    • Inspect, hydrostatic test and recharge of cylinders from fixed systems, air cylinders and portable fire extinguishers
    • Maintain equipment in accordance with TC guidelines and ISO procedures
    • Prepare inspection, verification and deficiency reports required by standards and codes
    • Receive inventory, pick parts orders, package and deliver to our customers as required
    • Responsible to keep inventory organized and notify of stock order requirements
    • Develop and maintain high caliber relationships with clients, to ensure their full satisfaction in doing business with our company

    Qualifications
